  I took my husband here for his birthday recently and we were both somewhat disappointed. We were expecting a traditional Irish pub: cozy and quaint, and filled with warmth, music, and laughter, but this is not that kind of place. It just doesn't have that charming pub ambience we were expecting and the name now seems misleading. It's brightly lit, there are no booths, and the tables are cramped too closely together. I spent my meal overwhelmed by the strong perfume of the woman who sat down at the table beside ours. Although the service was polite and immediate, and the dishes were plated nicely, both my husband and I felt the food itself wasn't worthy of the high prices. It was mediocre at best. The potato leek soup was very good, but it too was overpriced (it's a poor man's dish, after all). And their menu options were rather slim - no corned beef and cabbage here? We also felt a bit rushed to leave because the place was unable to accommodate a small Friday night crowd. If you're looking for a traditional Irish pub full of "craic"', friendly locals, and flowing pints of Guinness, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a more formal restaurant where you can sit and quietly sip wine with strangers, then maybe this is your place.

  One of my family's favorite places in Oconomowoc. The Pub is a true gem for the city. The standard menu has enough options to please a various person's appetite. The food is always delicious. Do not pass up on the specials as they are usually some of the best dishes. Make sure you enjoy a black and tan while you are there as well.

  Bar tender was the rudest person i have ever met. She rolled her eyes the second we walked in. I tried to order an odules for my very drunk cousin and she told him its non alchohalic, called me a dick and poored him 2 irish car bombs. He shouldnt have been served. She was very rude the entire time we were there. I wont ever return and will be sure to tell everyone i know to avoid this place.

  We've always had good experiences at The Pub, it is one of the best restaurants in the area. Excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly staff; I highly recommend it.
